Success Story from Kassala state

Enayat Abdallah Ahmed; aged 68, is a widow and a mother of 8 children, one of vulnerable women headed household resident in Kassala Grab Al-Gash Admin Unit – El-Sawagi El-shamaliya district. “My husband was died months ago, and that was the beginning of my hardship. I had 8 children with nowhere to go and no family to rely on; I cannot provide basic needs for my children. Most people in this community know and pitied the condition I was in, that was why the DOSW referred me to VCO to join their MPCA program”.

“Words are not just enough to describe how my situation changed in the last two months, from engaging in hard labor for survival to being a business owner. I am now independent and can provide for the basic needs of my family. I invested the money I received trough the MPCA program (SDG 495K) in a provision business, bought a spices and dry vegetable grinder machine, with the rest of the money I bought raw materials (Okra, spices, Henna…etc).  I used to place the business name and my contact on the products; so customers can easily reach me and know my place or sending their orders through the delivery services. I can say I’m doing well with my business; I gain about SDG 90,000 monthly. I took my children back to school. Things have really changed in my family, my children are now happy and doing well. I am grateful to Vet-Care, the SDNJRP5 and the DRA for giving me an opportunity to make something positive out of my life”.
